Presenters for Educational Programs and Classes:

Creekside is happy to sponsor any classes or other programs that are within the purposes of our 501(c)3 tax exepmt purpose. We request that you donate aproximately 50% of the net class proceeds (after any supplies or materials are accounted for) to Creekside as a space fee, but other arrangements are possible with prior discussion. Non-profit activites such as 12 step groups or scouts are not required to pay space fees, but are requested to place a basket in view for donations from attendees.

Creekside will publish an announcement of your class or activity in our newsletter and website, and will take calls or e-mails for more information and forward them to you.

If you are interested in leading an ongoing class or activity for young people (under 21) at Creekside, you must fill out an application and disclosure and read our child protection policy. If you do a one time event, this paperwork is preferred but not required.

Visual Artist Information:
Creekside displays at least one 2-dimensional and one 3-dimensional artist for each 6 week show period. A donation of 20%-50% of any sales made as a direct result of your showing at Creekside, depending on the amount of the sale is requested. To apply for a space in the gallery, or to sell small art and craft items, please send photos, a bio and description of your work to info@creeksidecenter.org.

For two dimensional displays, the gallery wall is lit with spotlights, and is covered with burlap. It is aproximately 35 feet of horizontal space, and the best visual space begins at about 4 feet above the floor and extends to 12 feet above the floor.

All artists are expected to provide a price list and clear labels for each art piece. You are welcome to also display promotional materials such as business cards, postcards, posters, and other information about yourself and your work. You are invited to our "meet the artists" events every Saturday night at 7:00 before the 7:30 concerts.

Musician Booking Information:
There are two ways to get a concert spot at Creekside. One is by sending your SonicBids, ReverbNation, Myspace or other EPK to info@creeksidecenter.org, and the other is by comoing to a Fourth Friday Open Mic.

Creekside is a new, non-profit coffee house type venue (no alcohol, no smoking) and as such we don't pay set amounts, but we do pay admisions plus tips, free coffee and desert, and you can sell your merchandise. We're also very happy to have groups of artists play evenings on a particular theme as a benefit for a particular need either at Creekside or in the community. The admissions will probably add up to about $100-150 (plus CD sales) but has sometimes been $40 and sometime $250 - I can't guarantee who will show up yet, we're still figuring out what sells and what doesn't. We are looking for people to do Saturday night shows from 7:30-9:30 (two 45 minute sets with a 20 minute intermission and some announcements before each set) We get an all ages crowd, anywhere from 20-40 people most Saturday nights, and we love to have a "meet the artist" from 7-7:30 when that's possible. We also do one 2:00pm Sunday afternoon concert a month, with the same basic format. These are usually traveling musicians from further away, who we would not otherwisehave the chance to see, or special educational programs with unusual instruments, historic themes, or other special features.

We are happy to provide somewhat rustic overnight accomodations in the cabin on our property, and to feed you lots of wonderful organic veggies from our farm, and take you sight seeing if you're interested. If you are not flying on an airplane, you'll probably also go home with some extra food. We have a 6 channel PA system, with two house speakers, two mics with stands, and two instrument cables. It doesn't have phantom power for condenser mics. You're welcome to suppliment that system any way you like, but we do prefer a primarily acoustic feel.

We generally book about 6 months ahead, but sometimes have last minute openings and will take bookings up to a year in advance. If we book you, we will send your photo and other info to all the local papers, post fliers around the area, send announcements to our various listserves, and so forth. We will link to your website from our website, and put you on our top friends list on myspace in the month or two leading up to the show. But since you're getting paid whatever your admissions are, you'll probably benefit by doing as much of your own publicity as you can as well. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. For fastest response, send e-mail and your booking information to info@creeksidecenter.org.
